Working together to move more local food, reduce waste, and strengthen community food access across our region.
About the Network
The Kootenay-Boundary Food Procurement Network is a collaboration of food banks, meal programs, schools, and other community food organizations. Together with local farms, food producers and retailers we’re building stronger connections so that:
- More fresh, local food reaches people in rural and underserved communities
- Surplus and seconds from farms are rescued and put to good use
- Schools and food access organizations have access to reliable and affordable food sources
- Communities benefit from collective purchasing and shared logistics
This is about creating reliable, practical systems that keep good food moving where it’s needed most.
